On Monday the 27th of August I got the chance out of Stage 3 to go to the NSW Parliament House for the Bear Pit Speaking Competition with Emily Sing (Stage 2 representative). It all started at 9:00 and concluded at 12:30. During this time one student each from Stage two and Stage three from all Manly Primary Schools delivered their speeches to James Griffin (MP of Manly), the four adjudicators, parents and teachers/principals. Everyone at the NSW Parliament House was very kind and friendly. It was such a privilege to be able to go and speak in one of the oldest buildings in Australia. I really enjoyed this event and I hope that it continues as it was a lot of fun! This was an amazing experience that I will never forget!
