With the new year rolling around we are excited to re-launch our School Band Program with the help of Evergreen Music (mid Term-1).

Evergreen Music is thrilled to be co-ordinating the extra-curricular music program at St Mary’s Manly in 2024!
GROUP CLASSES
Evergreen runs weekly group classes at St Mary’s for Piano, Guitar and Percussion
Lessons are 45 minutes and occur on the school grounds, starting before school (first lesson at 7.30am) with a couple of the later classes sneaking into the first part of the school day. This is all organised and cleared with the school / classroom teachers.
Content is a mix of music reading, music theory and aural skills but always with a fun approach and an emphasis on playing with others.
Guitarists are required to bring their own (acoustic) instrument to classes with them, while keyboards and drums are provided for the piano and percussion students.
To maximise the effect of our group tuition it’s expected that each student has an instrument to practice on at home.
MIXED ENSEMBLE (School Band)
Our Evergreen ‘Mixed Ensemble’ program encourages anyone and everyone who is committed to learning an instrument to join!
WEEKLY REHEARSAL TIMES
Mixed Ensemble is open to musicians in years 3 and above.
Rehearsal is on Thursday mornings in the top floor music room from 7.30am – 8.30am.
Throughout the school year there will also be several performance opportunities for each ensemble as performing and sharing music with others is also a big part of our educational philosophy.

Term 1 Enrolment (6 weeks, starting wk5) – $165
Terms 2, 3, 4 Enrolment (10 weeks) – $270 per term
